As of 31 March, the conflict in the Middle East is now in its fifth week. Considerable uncertainty remains across many areas, resulting in increased market volatility. At the time of this writing, while talk of an end to the conflict has increased, the timing and nature of any de-escalation, or “off ramping,” is still unclear. Notwithstanding, it is appropriate to revisit our initial analysis and provide an update to reflect the current situation.
